The title of this viral news says it all. Everyone including teachers have their moments of frustration and madness. Yet, it is expected that all master self-control especially in times like this. Kids could be really frustrating, everyone should learn how immature they could think or behave so as not to lose their sanity while dealing with them and be considered inhumane. A local school teacher in Riverdale seems arm’s length from controlling her emotions with one of her pupils as shown in a security footage and she paid dearly for it.
According to the video footage of the incidence that was made available, the six years old boy, Ian was walking down a hallway to use the restroom. Upon getting out of the restroom and heading back towards his kindergarten classroom, he bumped into his teacher, Barbara Williams who seemingly lost it immediately and got aggressive with the boy.
Williams picked the boy up, pinned him against the wall and grabs his face. According to the correspondence from Eric Hoffman, it was detailed that the teacher voiced some dirty language on the boy as well. She said; “I am sick of you”, “I am sick of your parents”, and “I will rip you apart.
She didn’t end the drama at that, rather she picked the terrified boy up again by his shirt, causing his head to flip back in the process.
The parents of the young boy in question, Anthony and Autumn Nelson from Ohio were shocked when they saw the video where Ian was being confronted by his teacher. They had to demand that the teacher be fired immediately. The incidence ended at the suspension of the teacher for ten days without pay. The Findlay City Prosecutor equally charged her with a misdemeanor count of child endangerment.
With all available evidences, Williams Barbara could only plead no contest to the charges counted against her. Therefore, she was given a $250 fine and ordered to attend anger management classes. Williams is perhaps a deterrent to many more emotionally slippery teachers and tutors out there. They all have to be aware that kids would always be kids and avoid abusing them directly or indirectly.
